Amazing casitas on the beach with a fantastic endless pool. Slightly spendy, but very friendly. Great bird watching, and an iguana tree!

Our favorite place to stay in Sayulita! The pool is an amazing feature the kids absolutely love with a huge shallow area for playing and a view of the ocean and beach! The location could not be better, only a block or two from the Plaza and nightlife, only steps from the shallow end of the beach for super easy access, and so quiet and peaceful at night. We love that you can wake up to a view of the ocean, that there is always a breeze coming off the water even on the hottest days, and that the rooms have kitchenettes and a big fridge and freezer by the pool for keeping beverages cool. This is a hybrid hotel so it's somewhat like an airbnb in that there is no room service or management on property, the front desk is right around the corner below. Housekeeping doesn't come every day to change the sheets and towels and clean up but we've found every other day or so is just right for our needs. Cannot state enough how important location can be staying here and this place is absolutely perfect, whether you want to beach day with the provided umbrella and lounge chairs or pool day in the sun, or a night on the town, we love La Esquina for all those things and more! Stays must be longer than one night but we always find we never want to leave. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the amenities feel luxurious for the reasonable price. Highly recommend!

We rented the entire building for several nights; 8 rooms and the penthouse. Overall the units are priced OK for what you’re getting. Pros: Beachfront, Walking Distance to Everything Clean Pool, Warm Very Friendly Cleaning and Maintenance Staff Great Views Loved the bathroom, fridge and sink at the pool. Grounds well kept Wifi worked well enough. We weren’t streaming. Cons: There wasn’t any hot water in several of the rooms. Water pressure was almost non-existent in some of the rooms. Some rooms had no pressure AND no hot water. The ceiling LED lights don’t go out completely when you turn them off. They stay glowing all night. Penthouse bathroom had major sewage smells. Had to keep the door closed at all times. Maintenance machines start too early. Leaf blowers daily at 7am. No management on-site. Working with Indira wasn't great. Lots of communication lost in translation. Frustrating to only be able to communicate in email. No phone or whatsapp provided. Super loud location. Pounding music from beach raves and bars until sunrise every night even in low season. Penthouse had filthy floors. Our feet were black and covered in long dark hairs (we’re blonde). We had a lot of maintenance issues from ceiling fans to AC units to hot water. They did their best to address these things. But most of my guests did not have hot water during their stay. Under equipped penthouse kitchen. Most of the cupboards and drawers were empty. Individual unit kitchens were also very basically stocked. No salt and pepper. In fact housekeeping removes these items if you buy them and leave them.

Only place to stay if vacationing in Sayulita. The manager Brooke is a pleasure to work with and the grounds and rooms are extraordinary

This was a return visit for us and it was very similar to our first. Room and view were again excellent. Pool was warm and the deck area is well kept. 6 day a week housekeeping is provided and they provide an excellent job. Our housekeeper who was very friendly and hard working spoke very good English! Brooke at reception is always available to answer your questions or to respond to your requests. If you’re looking for a small boutique hotel this is the place. Like the majority of hotels here which we’ve stayed at many there are no true full service hotels but this location is the next best thing. Highly recommend

Our first time at La Esquina Sayiulita! It won't be our last, I'm sure. Sparkling clean rooms with floor to ceiling sliding glass doors facing the ocean, friendly, helpful staff and the views are AMAZING! I can hear and see the ocean from my bed!! The grounds and pool are well maintained and secure. We feel totally safe and comfortable here. La Esquina is just steps away from the fabulous bars and restaurants in central Sayulita. I know every place says that but its really true here! I can be on the Zocalo enjoying a meal or drink and two minutes later be back in my lovely room! I'm sure there are more expensive places in town, but there aren't any more wonderful!
